CSA Subscription Options
Our CSA is an ongoing program delivered every month of the year. For some CSA offerings, such as our poultry CSA, we only deliver seasonaly depending on when the product is in season. Currently we will offer the following CSA subscription options:
Standard CSA Share — 15 pounds/month
Available every month of the year, your share will include 15 pounds of meat plus 1 dozen eggs (in season). The meat will always be from at least two species, but we will do our best to include some meat from all species (lamb, pork, chicken, duck, beef) available. Standard shares will include a mix of braising cuts and ground and very limited grilling cuts. As the seasons change, we cannot guarantee that there will be chicken, beef and pork every month. We will make every effort to include a mixture of species and a mixture of cuts.
Sample share A:
A monthly share may include 1 young Poulet Rouge broiler chicken (3 pounds), 1 doz eggs, 2 lbs ground beef, 1 lb ground pork, 2 lbs pork chops, 1 lb sirloin steak, one 3.5-lb roast and 2.5 lbs stew beef.
Sample share B:
Alternatively, a monthly share may include 1 stewing chicken (4 pounds), 1 doz eggs, 2 lbs ground beef, 2 lb ground pork, 2 lbs pork chops, 1 lb cube steak, one 3 lb beef brisket and 1 lb pork sausage.
Poultry Only CSA Share — 12-14 pounds/month
Available June-November only, you will receive 3-4 whole chickens per month. Generally these will include young Poulet Rouge broilers, but sometimes will include stewing chickens as well. Includes one dozen eggs (in season).
Farmstead Cheese CSA Share — 1 pound/month
Available every month and only as an add-on to your standard or poultry share, this includes one pound per month of our raw milk, farmstead cheese. For 2010, this will include either or both of our Harmony Crème de la Crème or our Elberton Blue cheese. In 2011, it will include reserve Fortsonia.

Monthly Subscription Fee
Standard Share (15 lbs/month)
- $120 non-refundable deposit (fully refundable only if we are given a 90 day notice of cancellation)
- $120 per month
Poultry Share (12-14 lbs/month)
- $70 last month in advance (pay for November upfront, get November without additional payment if you are still a CSA member in good standing. If you leave the CSA prior to November for any reason you will forfeit the advance payment.)
- $70 per month
Farmstead Cheese Option (1 lb/month)
- $20 non-refundable deposit (fully refundable only if we are given a 90 day notice of cancellation)
- $20 per month (if selected, requires 30 day notice to terminate this option)
2010 CSA Delivery Terms
Terms:
- Athens and Lawrenceville deliveries will be on the last Thursday of each month. Athens from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Lawrenceville from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Atlanta will be at the Green Market for Piedmont Park on the last Saturday of each month. Pick up anytime from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
- Alpharetta and Marietta will be the last Saturday of each month. Marietta between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., and Alpharetta between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- Any CSA delivery that falls on Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's Day will be rescheduled and communicated at least 30 days in advance.
- CSA shares will be plus/minus 1/2 pound. For example, the 15 pound share could be anywhere from 14.5 - 15.5 pounds.
- We will be at each location (other than Atlanta) for exactly one hour, and it is each member's responsibility to meet us there or have a designee meet us if the member cannot make it.
- Members MUST pick up within the timeframe detailed for each site location. Pickups cannot be rescheduled to pick up on farm, etc. To better understand why, see here.
- Packages not picked up will be forfieted without refund or credit. To better understand why, see here.
- All subscribers must pay via credit card and enroll in our monthly subscription plan. Subscribers will be charged automaticlaly on the first of each month for that month's share. For example, a full-share subscriber would be charged $120 on April 1 for the April delivery.
- We will attempt to contact any monthly pay subscriber whose payment is not processed properly and give them 5 days to remedy. If not remedied, the subscriber will forfeit their entire CSA subscription.
