For those who are wondering what NAIS is all about, the above will give you a non partisan viewpoint.

Now my viewpoint. When I first read about this , I thought we should be able to identify sick animals. Well its not that simple. Monsanto,Cargill etc are pushing for this so they can control the market. Small Farmers have no chance under the scenario created by NAIS. For instance the Agri farms will blame the Small Farmer for every disease outbreak saying "our animals are registered so it cant be us". The exact opposite is actually true. Disease is rampant w/ large herds more than small herds.

So if you Love Natures Harmony Farm meat as we do, call as if your life depends on NO NAIS.

Thanks so much for putting that link up and letting everyone know the status on legislation on NAIS. I just shot my congressman a message to let him know I do not support NAIS, that I think it will do great harm to our farmers, and to let me know where he stands on this issue. Thanks again for keeping folks informed.

Left Tom Price a note today asking him to support our local farmers/producers and to NOT support National Animal Identification System (NAIS) HR875.

Farms like Nature's Harmony have more accountability and traceback capability than NAIS can ever provide. They can walk out and show you the Momma of your beef and the animals it was raised with in three minutes if you have a question. NAIS will never achieve that traceback response time. Make sure congress keeps hearing from you until they realize that they cannot continue to fund a program that will not be complied with by an informed citizenry.
